Over 25% of Americans Have Deleted the Facebook App In the Past Year The Pew Research Center says 26% of Americans have deleted the Facebook app from their phone in the last year. The results come from a survey Pew conducted in May and June with over <br />4,500 American adults. Pew adds that 54% of respondents have also adjusted their privacy settings. Meanwhile, 42% have taken a break from checking Facebook for several weeks <br />or more. Facebook faced controversy this year when it was revealed the company Cambridge Analytica used personal data to manipulate U.S. and British voters. Since then, it has faced a series of controversies about misinformation and manipulation on its platform.
